MCMC released new Class Assignment No.1 of 2023 which supersedes the previous document, Class Assignment No.2 of 2022.

The China National Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA) has announced the issuance of a revised product certification catalogue, consisting of 16 categories and 96 sub-categories, in response to adjustments in compulsory certification and testing. This replaces the previous version issued in 2020 by the State Administration for Market Regulation.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has revised the "Radio Transmitting Equipment Type Approval Certificate Form" and the "Radio Transmitting Equipment Type Approval Code Coding Rules" to improve the Radio Transmission Equipment Type Approval Certificate style and the CMIIT ID Codification Rules. These revised regulations will take effect on 12 December 2023, and will replace previous regulations on the management and format of radio transmitting equipment type approval.

The ENACOM in Argentina has expanded band allocation for Level Probing Radars (LPRs), allowing them to operate in the 76-81 GHz frequency band. The regulation also includes a technical standard for LPRs and requests a DoC for certification until at least one Accredited Laboratory is qualified to test to the approved standard.

The General Director of the Regulatory Body ARCEP has been recently removed in the wake of the current political crisis in Niger. Consequently, ongoing applications for Type Approval are experiencing significant delays. It is expected that a new Director will be appointed soon to ensure service continuity and Eleos is closely monitoring the situation to make further updates available.
