MCMC have issued Class Assignment No. 1 of 2022, dated 19th January 2022. This now includes the frequency band 5925 - 6425 MHz for SRD, such as Wi-Fi 6E, therefore products operating in this frequency band can now be certified in Malaysia.

The frequency band and output power requirements can be found in Table 2-1, item 17, of the Class Assignment No. 1 of 2022, which can be found here.

In order to certify products in this frequency band, the following routes are available:

  1. Draft EN 303 687 (or equivalent standard) will be accepted and the test standard must be included in the accreditation scope of the testing laboratory.
  2. Alternatively, RF & EMC testing can be performed at the SIRIM test lab.

For both options, the product must meet the conditions according to Table 2-1, item 17, of the Class Assignment No. 1 of 2022.
