31-OCT-19

The Moroccan Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCINET) have confirmed an extension to the formal enforcement of the CMIM Moroccan cMark for EMC/LVD. All products falling within scope must carry the CMIM mark before passing customs from 1st January 2020.

To recap on requirements, Moroccan EMC and LVD requirements were published in 2016 and are identical to the EU Directives 2014/35/EU (LVD) and 2014/30/EU (EMC). Equipment falling within this scope must have the CMIM Mark affixied at the time of import into Morocco, with local importers using an Arabic language Declaration of Conformity to obtain clearance authorisation for the equipment. Any radio equipment which has obtained a Type Approval certificate from ANRT in Morocco is excluded from EMC/LVD requirements.
