ANRT of Morocco publish Decision ANRT/DG/N°12/2 for type approval

The National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ANRT) of Morocco has published Decision ANRT/DG/N°12/23 of 2 kaada 1444 (22 May 2023) setting the technical specifications for type approval of terminal equipment and radio installations.  This decision supersedes Decision ANRT/DG/No. 04/14 of 17 February 2014 setting the technical specifications for type approval of terminal equipment and radio installations.

The new Decision introduces a number of changes, including:

 The addition of new type approval technical specifications, including 6GHz WiFi 6E, GPON, GNSS and ESIM
 The addition of new requirements regarding electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), low-voltage electrical safety (LVD) and Human RF exposure (Health)
 Adoption of 4G (LTE) technology as a minimum requirement for user equipment with a cellular interface
 User equipment supporting 5G technology which must be must be 5G SA (standalone) compatible
