India DoT TEC Extends MTCTE Exemption for Specific ER Parameters Until December 2025

The Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC), under the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), has extended exemptions from submitting test reports for certain Essential Requirement (ER) parameters under MTCTE.

Key Points: 
  • - Exemption valid until 31 December 2025 or until further notice.

  • Applies to:
    • - Cellular CPE – DHCP client (v4/v6) as per RFC 7341 / RFC 8415.
    • - Satellite Equipment – Transmit power as per DoT/WPC license conditions.

Follows earlier circular dated on 26 June 2025.
All other MTCTE requirements remain unchanged.
