ANATEL release Public Consultations No. 21, 23 and 25

The Brazilian Regulator, ANATEL, has released 3 new public consultations.

Public Consultation No. 21 - issued on 21 May 2021, with the view to update Annex I of Act No. 14.448, to include the technical requirements specifically for the following product types:
• Access point transceiver, inside land transport vehicles, operating in the 5.150-5.350 MHz band;
• New applications in the ultra wide radio frequency (UWB) bands;
• Point-to-multipoint transceiver of the multigigabit system operating in the 57-66 GHz band;
• Body scan transmitter-sensor for security application operating in the 76-81 GHz band;
• Interactive motion sensor operating in the 57-64 GHz range.

Public Consultation No. 23 - issued on 11 May 2021, which looks to change the usage and conditions of the 4.9 GHz Radio Frequency Band for the IMT (International Mobile Telecommunications ) systems, for 5th generation mobile telephony (5G).

Public Consultation No. 25 - issued on 17 May 2021, with the view to amend the Operational Procedure for Marking Anatel Homologation Identification in Telecommunications Products, approved by Act No. 4088.
