ANATEL publish Act No. 3939

On the 08th June 2021, ANATEL published Act No. 3939, which establishes the Operating Procedure for Approval of Telecommunications Product by Declaration of Conformity with Test Reports. Please refer to the official publication of Act No. 3939, here.

Act No. 3939 specifies that the Declaration of Conformity with Test Report model will be used for products intended for unique, special and/or low-market applications; and, handcrafted or imported construction products for the Applicant's own use. NICTA Update on Type Approval Certificate Validity

Papua New Guinea’s National Information and Communications Technology Authority (NICTA) has updated its type approval process. Certificates issued through the new Type Approval Online System (TAOS) from 2025 will now have a standardized three-year validity. Certificates issued between 2022 and 2025 have been reissued to align with this validity period, while certificates issued before 2022 are considered expired and require renewal through a formal application.
