The Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (TATT) has launched a public consultation titled "Spectrum Plan for the Accommodation of Non-Terrestrial Networks (Version 0.1)," aimed at developing a new spectrum plan for Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) in the 2 GHz band.
On 16 September 2024, Argentina's Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones (ENACOM) published Resolution 748 of 2024, which adds new channel arrangements to channelisations in six different frequency bands, specifically those between 7110 to 7900 MHz, 8275 to 8500 MHz, 14.5 to 15.35 GHz, 21.2 to 23.6 GHz, 71 to 76 GHz and 81 to 86 GHz.
The NCC published updated Type Approval regulations and guidelines adopted respectively on July and August this year, reinforcing certain requirements and clarifying others that were intended for enforcement under the previous regulations.
ANATEL defines that only cell phones and access terminal stations compatible with more modern technologies, with 4G or higher, can be certified.
On 23 September 2024, the NTC issued a Memorandum containing the modification process for TAC/GEC of SRDs operating in recently opened 6GHz Band (RLANs and HIPERLANs). Now all previously certified equipment affected prior to the entry into force of NTC Memorandum Circular No. 002.07-2024 shall be subject to the issuance of modified certificate.
