The FCC’s Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau announced that “Toy Drones” and toy drones with foreign-produced components are no longer on the FCC Covered List.
This follows a Department of War determination that these small, low-risk drones do not pose an unacceptable threat to U.S. national security or public safety.
To qualify, the drone must meet limits on weight, range, altitude, speed, flight time, connectivity, and sensing features.
