The Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (TATT) has issued the revised schedule of eligible devices for use under a class license, which includes the permitted operation of Wi-Fi 6E devices in the lower 6 GHz band (5925 - 6425 MHz), recently coming into effect. This update encompasses devices classified as Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3, each with specific technical requirements.

Class 1 Wi-Fi 6E devices, intended for end-users or equipment at customer premises, must now comply with a maximum output power of 24 dBm. Conversely, Class 2 Wi-Fi 6E devices, which include base stations, are subject to a maximum output power limit of 30 dBm to ensure effective and reliable coverage in high-speed wireless networks.
