TATT Launches Second Round of Public Consultation on Spectrum Plan for Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN)

On April 22, 2025, the Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (TATT) launched the second round of public consultation on the “Spectrum Plan for the Accommodation of Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN),” which will remain open until May 20, 2025.

This plan outlines how the 2 GHz band spectrum will be allocated and regulated for NTN operators, such as satellites and aerial platforms, enabling the extension of telecommunications coverage to remote or airborne areas. It also defines licensing procedures and technical conditions to ensure coexistence with existing terrestrial mobile networks.
