NBTC launches public consultation on 5.925–6.425 GHz band allocation.

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has started a public consultation into the lower part of the 6 GHz band (5.925 – 6.425 GHz) in Thailand.

They are seeking comments regarding the allocation of the band for  WLAN/WPAN (Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi 7)

The Consultation documents includes:
- Criteria of authorization for using the frequency range of 5.725 – 6.425 GHz;
- Technical Standard for telecommunication equipment using the 5.725 – 6.425 GHz frequency band.

NBTC is considering the following power limits:
-  5.925 - 6.425 GHz 250 mW e.i.r.p. (for indoor use);
- 5.925 - 6.425 GHz 25 mW e.i.r.p. (for outdoor use).
