Due to the ongoing impact of Covid-19 in Sri Lanka, TRCSL (Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka) are currently impacted by a quarantine which has been imposed nationally on governmental bodies.

Due to the quarantine, TRCSL’s business activities will be impacted as follows:

  • TRCSL will only issue temporary, digital type approval certificates until further notice. The temporary approval can be converted to Permanent TA once TRCSL resumes normal business.
  • Samples are not accepted until further notice, as all employees are working from home. All equipment which typically requires a sample for type approval in Sri Lanka will therefore be delayed.
  • Type approval lead time will be extended.

Eleos will continue to monitor the situation.
