TRA have published a public consultation on mmWave

The TRA is looking into granting mmWave frequency bands specified for IMT. This is for the purposes of investment, to keep up to date with fast development in the telecommunications sector and meet the market requirements for providing big bandwidth.
 
Therefore, TRA has invited everyone to participate and provide their opinions and views on the consultation document.
 
mmWave stands for millimeter Wave, which refers to a specific range of electromagnetic frequencies within the microwave spectrum. It is characterized by wavelengths ranging from 1 to 10 millimeters and corresponding frequencies of 30 to 300 gigahertz (GHz). mmWave technology is used in various applications, particularly in wireless communications and networking. 

You can submit responses via the online questionnaire on the authority website ( Public Consultation Details tra.gov.om) or send a letter or email addressed to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.

Please you send your responses and comments on the public consultation document on or before 3rd August 2023.
