The Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) has published the latest Hong Kong Table of Frequency Allocations in April 2026. This essential reference document aligns Hong Kong’s spectrum usage with ITU Region 3 standards and integrates important revisions effective from 01 January 2025.

Key Spectrum Allocations
The updated plan details the permitted frequencies for various technologies, including:
  • Short Range Devices (SRDs) and ISM bands such as 13.56 MHz and 433 MHz.
  • WiFi and Bluetooth services in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz ranges, with specific conditions for the 5150–5350 MHz band.
  • International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) and 5G services spanning from 700 MHz up to mmWave bands at 24.25–27.5 GHz.
  • Automotive radar and high-frequency wireless applications in the 60 GHz and 76–81 GHz bands.

Compliance and Technical Constraints
Manufacturers must adhere to specific technical remarks, such as Note J for license-exempt bands and Note A for prohibited emission zones. The table also enforces strict power limits and channel spacing requirements that vary significantly between different radio services. Transitioning to these updated allocations is vital for maintaining product lifecycle continuity and market access in Hong Kong.
