Hong Kong's Office of the Communications Authority (OFTA) have published their new January 2021 Table of Frequency Allocations, updating the April 2020 version.

The changes include:

a) Updates in Maritime Mobile band around 156MHz to 162MHz

b) Updates to reflect WRC-19, mostly though not exclusively in the Notes, including:

Note [1] : In the maritime mobile service, the frequency bands 415 - 495 kHz and 505 - 526.5 kHz are limited to radiotelegraphy and may also be used for the NAVDAT system in accordance with the most recent version of Recommendation ITU-R M.2010, subject to agreement between interested and affected administrations. NAVDAT transmitting stations are limited to coast stations.

Note [2] : The frequency band 495 - 505 kHz is used for the international NAVDAT system as described in the most recent version of Recommendation ITU-R M.2010. NAVDAT transmitting stations are limited to coast stations.

Note [1] : Frequencies in the frequency bands 4063 - 4123 kHz and 4130 - 4438 kHz may be used exceptionally by stations in the fixed service, communicating only within the boundary of the country in which they are located, with a mean power not exceeding 50 W, on condition that harmful interference is not caused to the maritime mobile service.

Note [2] : In the frequency band 5470 - 5725 MHz, stations in the mobile service shall not claim protection from radiodetermination services. The radiodetermination services shall not impose more stringent conditions upon the mobile service than those stipulated in Resolution 229 (Rev.WRC-19) of the Radio Regulations.

Note [3]: The frequency band 24.25 - 27.5 GHz is identified for use by administrations wishing to implement the terrestrial component of International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT).

Note [2]: The frequency band 66 - 71 GHz is identified for use by administrations wishing to implement the terrestrial component of International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT).

c)   The addition of a new Annex 1 on Revision of Region 3 Allocations
