The National Environmental Council (CONAMA) has launched a public consultation regarding a proposed resolution that introduces restrictions on hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products sold in Brazil—commonly referred to as the Brazilian RoHS.
This initiative is designed to bring Brazil in line with global standards, such as the European Union’s RoHS directive.
The consultation period is from August 11 to September 24, 2025.
