ANATEL ORDINANCE NO. 2257

ANATEL have released Ordinance No. 2257, which establishes the internal procedure for the simplified analysis of Approval Requirements for Telecommunications Products. This simplified analysis aims to reduce the lead-time for ANATEL reviews.

The following products are not valid for the simplified analysis:

I - Cell Phone Charger;
II - Inductive Charger for Cell Phones;
III - Lithium battery used in Cell Phones;
IV - Accessory for mobile cell phone of auxiliary battery type; and
V - All products evaluated in the form of Declaration of Conformity.
