ANATEL Renewal update

Brazil Flag

02-OCT-24

On 24th September 2024, OCDs met with ANATEL and received an update regarding changes to the renewal process.

Previously, all OCDs could renew certificates even if they had already expired. However, ANATEL has now advised that renewals must be completed before the certificates expiry date. In exceptional cases, renewals can be processed for certificates that have expired within the last six months, provided all renewal documents and test reports are uploaded to the ANATEL system within this six-month grace period.

This means that if a certificate has been expired for more than six months, a new approval, including testing and a change of ANATEL ID, will be required.

At this moment, there is no official publication on this subject.
