The Autoridad de Regulación y Fiscalización de Telecomunicaciones y Transportes (ATT) has published the Regulatory Administrative Resolution ATT-DJ-RAR-TL LP 539/2024 on November 6, 2024,  which modifies the current Type Approval regulation ATT-DJ-RAR-TL LP 443/2023. This document establishes the requirements and procedures for the registration and homologation of telecommunications equipment and information and communication technologies (ICT).

A notable changes are that entities must first register with the ATT's registry of suppliers/commercializers. This involves submitting an application with supporting documentation.
After successful registration, entities can apply for homologation, submitting the necessary technical documents. If the documentation is deemed satisfactory, the ATT will issue a Homologation Certificate. Otherwise, the application will be rejected.
Approved certifications are published on the ATT website for public access.
A dedicated online platform will be established for managing registration and homologation applications.
Certificate validity will be increased from five (5) to ten (10) years.
