Temporary decision with an aim to ease RF compliance introduced in Belarus.

On the 6th of May 2022, Resolution No. 270, dated 29th of April 2022, of The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus came into effect with an aim to provide temporary eased RF/Telecom compliance requirements.

The decision is valid until 31st of December 2023, with following main points determined:

1. The validity of DoCs and CoCs expiring between 6th of May 2022 and 1st of September 2022 is extended for further 12 months.
2. No re-assessment of conformity and/or periodic assessment of certified products is required before expiry of the CoCs or DoCs.
3. Spare parts, single units and components can be imported without proving documents confirming compliance.
4. No physical testing of the samples is required as long as test reports from other countries are provided and accepted by the CB.
5. and other changes.

NICTA Update on Type Approval Certificate Validity

Papua New Guinea’s National Information and Communications Technology Authority (NICTA) has updated its type approval process. Certificates issued through the new Type Approval Online System (TAOS) from 2025 will now have a standardized three-year validity. Certificates issued between 2022 and 2025 have been reissued to align with this validity period, while certificates issued before 2022 are considered expired and require renewal through a formal application.
