ENACOM, the National Communications Entity of Argentina, has implemented significant changes to the RAMATEL labelling requirements, which came into effect on May 10, 2023.
These updates aim to improve the regulatory identification of approved equipment and ensure proper labelling in the market. The key modifications are outlined below:
Instructions for accessing electronic labelling:
It has been established that instructions for accessing electronic labelling may be provided in the accompanying equipment documentation, on the packaging, and/or on the official website of the manufacturer or importer of the product. This measure enables users to easily obtain the necessary instructions for accessing the electronic label, if this option has been chosen for equipment labelling.
Labelling in the manual, quick start guide, or packaging:
If it is not feasible to directly place the label on the product due to construction, size, or packaging restrictions, it is now permitted to print the labelling in the user manual, quick start guide, and/or corresponding packaging.
Labelling on vehicles with approved devices:
In cases where regulatory identification is not visible, it is required for the corresponding mark to be printed in the manuals and documents accompanying the vehicle. Additionally, there is the option to publish this mark on the official website of the vehicle manufacturer or importer.

It is important for manufacturers, importers, and users of approved equipment to be aware of these new guidelines and ensure compliance with ENACOM's requirements.
