SIRIM update on marketing name for Type Approval

SIRIM have reiterated the need confirm the product marketing name for Type Approval applications. SIRIM have advised that this information will be used to facilitate with verifying the product certification status.

Therefore, the product marketing name should be declared upon submission and is available on the marketed product. In the event the product is marketed without a marketing name, the specific model name will be used. 

The marketing name should be traceable from at least one of the following:
  1. Specification/Brochure
  2. User Manual
  3. Marking
  4. Packaging
