27-MAY-22

The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority published new Type Approval Guidelines to replace the current guidelines, Type Approval Guidelines Rev5 09-2015.

The main change is that ZICTA shall before revoking an approval, give written notice to the holder of a type approval certificate of its intention to revoke the approval.

ZICTA will give reasons for the intended revocation, and require the holder to show cause within a period of 7 days why the approval should not be revoked. ZICTA may recall from the market the model of the electronic communications apparatus whose approval has been revoked.
