20-NOV-25

This new Radiocommunications Regulations (Radio Standards) Notice 2025 mandates that most radio transmitters must comply with these new standards unless they are operating under a spectrum licence. Products such as short range devices installed in vehicles at the time of manufacture and military radio transmitters are exempt from the requirement to have a declaration of conformity and labelling. The standards primarily reference international documents, including Australian (ACMA/AS/NZS), European (EN/ETSI), and American (CFR/ANSI/TIA) specifications, covering a wide range of products from Short Range Devices (SRD) and Personal Communications to Maritime, Aeronautical, and Land Mobile Services. The notice also includes transitional provisions, deeming any product compliant with the 2023 requirements to be compliant with the new 2025 notice upon its commencement.

You will find the document here. For more information on new developments and how to take advantage of them in your type approval projects, please do not hesitate to contact us at enquiries@eleoscompliance.com.
