The modified provisions of art. 31 of the draft amendment to law 235/2011 regarding accreditation and conformity assessment activities provides following:
 “Article 31. Recognition of conformity assessment results
 (1) The results of conformity assessment procedures carried out by notified bodies in the European Union for products bearing the CE marking and other markings established by the technical regulations applicable to the product, as the case may be, and which are lawfully marketed in a Member State of the European Union shall be recognized;
 (2) The recognition provided for in paragraph (1) shall mean that when the product is placed or made available on the market, it is no longer necessary to repeat the conformity assessment procedures already carried out.”
Taking in account above modifications, the products are made available on the market of the Republic of Moldova under the similar conditions under which they are made available in the EU member states market without any additional type approval or certification.
 The conformity assessment of the radio equipment bearing the CE marking and which conformity were assessed according to RED directive, is not necessary any more regardless of the country of origin of the products.

The draft amendment to Law 235/2011 has already been approved by Government Decision and is now awaiting approval by the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. Link to the amended law can be found here.

Our team will continue to monitor any further updates here and will issue further updates once these are available.
