ENACOM New Technical Standards 1132/2023 for Wireless Devices

The National Communications Entity (ENACOM) of Argentina has recently issued Resolution 1132/2023, which establishes technical standards for wireless devices with Broadband Digital Modulation Systems. 

ENACOM-Q2-63.02 V23.1 standard is applicable to devices that have at least one interface utilizing broadband digital modulation techniques. This standard encompasses various technologies such as IEEE 802.11xx, Bluetooth LE, IEEE 802.15.4 (Zigbee), DSSS, and OFDM, operating within specific frequencies, including 902-915MHz, 915-928MHz, 2400-2483.5 MHz, 5150-5250MHz, 5250-5350MHz, 5470-5600MHz, 5650-5725MHz, 5725-5850MHz, 5925-7125MHz, and 57-71GHz.

Starting from August 18, 2023, devices can undergo compliance testing using these standards. The new regulations will come into effect on November 16, 2023. Additionally, the certification of Wi-Fi 6E devices under these new guidelines is now possible.

NICTA Update on Type Approval Certificate Validity

Papua New Guinea’s National Information and Communications Technology Authority (NICTA) has updated its type approval process.
