Compliance with technical standards must be proven through the issuance of a telecommunication device certificate. While specific testing procedures are not detailed in this decree, it refers back to the certification framework established in PM Kominfo No. 3 of 2024. Manufacturers and importers must ensure that devices undergo the required conformity assessment procedures, which typically involve testing by accredited laboratories and evaluation against Indonesian Technical Regulations (SR/Perdirjen).
While this decree focuses on the list of mandatory devices, certification results in the requirement to apply the official certification label (including the QR Code and Warning Sign) on the device or its packaging, as per the overarching certification regulations of the Ministry of Communication and Digital (formerly Kominfo).
This decree is issued under the authority of the Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Informatics Number 3 of 2024 concerning Certification of Telecommunication Tools and/or Telecommunication Devices. It provides the necessary updated list of devices that must meet the technical requirements specified in that regulation and replaces or clarifies previous lists to align with the current Harmonized System and technological advancements.
