Executive Summary
This regulation establishes technical requirements and conformity assessment procedures for radio equipment in Serbia, aligning national law with the EU Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU. The new rulebook on radio equipment, aligned with the EU RED Directive, entered into force in Serbia on 01 June 2024, published by RATEL.

1. Certification still required (for now)
- RF product certification remains mandatory under Article 20(1).
- A Certificate of Conformity (CoC) is still needed.

2. CoC validity introduced
- CoC now has a validity of 5 years (Article 20(4)).
3. Transition away from CoC
- Serbian CoC will no longer be mandatory after 31 December 2026 (Article 33(2)).

- A Declaration of Conformity (DoC) must be prepared by the manufacturer:

- Declares compliance with essential requirements (Article 19(1)) in the Serbian language.
- The format in Annex V (Article 19(2)) must be followed.
- The applicable regulation (Annex V requirement) must be stated.
- The applicable local harmonized standards must be stated.
Serbia is moving from a certification-based regime (CoC) to a self-declaration system (DoC), fully harmonized with the EU RED by 2027.
