Testing Guidelines for 6 GHz RLAN Devices (Indonesia)
The Ministry of Communication and Digital (KOMDIGI) has issued circular B-63/DJID.3/SP.04.06/01/2026 to clarify the testing and certification requirements for Radio Local Area Network (RLAN) devices operating in the 6 GHz band. This document follows the implementation of Ministerial Decree No. 12 of 2025.
Scope and Effective Date
Starting January 15, 2026, new regulations govern the issuance of Test Reports for RLAN 6 GHz devices. This applies specifically to equipment operating within the 5925-6425 MHz radio frequency spectrum.
Authorized Testing Entities
To obtain certification for the Indonesian market, test reports must be issued by one of the following:
Domestic Testing Laboratories: Authorized telecommunication testing centers located within Indonesia.
Foreign Testing Laboratories: Laboratories located in countries that have a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) with Indonesia. These labs must have a registered testing scope that specifically covers RLAN technology in the 5925-6425 MHz frequency range.
Recognized Domestic Laboratories
The following domestic facilities are identified as authorized to conduct testing for 6 GHz RLAN devices:
Balai Besar Pengujian Perangkat Telekomunikasi dan Digital (BBPPTD)
Telkom Test House (Digital Connectivity Service)
BSPJI Surabaya
PT Hartono Istana Teknologi (Electronic & RF Lab)
PT Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services
B4T (Balai Besar Standardisasi dan Pelayanan Jasa Industri Bahan dan Barang Teknik)
PT Sucofindo (SBU Laboratorium)
PT Qualis Indonesia
PT Hyundai Calibration and Certification Technologies Indonesia
PT TUV Rheinland Indonesia
PT Rajawali Baksara Perkasa
PT LG Electronics Research and Development Center
Key Compliance Requirements
Manufacturers and type approval applicants must ensure that all testing aligns with the technical standards established in Ministerial Decree No. 12 of 2025. This includes adherence to class license regulations and specific technical parameters for radio frequency usage in the 6 GHz band. Test reports issued before the effective date or by laboratories without the appropriate 5925-6425 MHz scope may not be accepted for certification after January 15, 2026.
